The Debut of the Constellations Orchestra

The December 23rd Charlie Brown Christmas Concert will mark the soft launch of URSA Asheville, a non-profit organization that I started nearly one year ago with several other fellow travelers. The original idea was to front and fund a large orchestra, the Constellations Orchestra, that would be a top-rate ensemble capable of accompanying national and international names while showcasing local talent. Getting this group off the ground was a key goal this year and we've succeeded! Phase Two (2026) will be to add an education wing ("URSA Minor"), and Phase Three (2027) will involve developing a new funding model for musical creation and connection in Asheville ("Aligning Stars").
