Really stoked to have debuted a new group with world-class free improvisers at the White Horse this December. Free improvisation is much more demanding than it sounds and I had to bring my A-game! Check out a recording of the night here:

"Eye Myth Collective brings together deeply experienced improvisers and composers across generations and perspectives. Dr. Bill Bares is a pianist and scholar whose playing balances intellectual rigor with heartfelt expression. Steve Alford brings adventurous saxophone and clarinet work, drawing on a rich background in contemporary and improvisational music. Quinn Sternberg on bass blends groove, melody, and free interaction with compositional sensitivity. Jeff Arnal on drums and percussion contributes decades of experience in free improvisation and experimental sound, guiding the music through texture, pulse, and responsive interplay. Together, they create sound that stretches between structure and freedom, building in the moment while honoring the musical lives each player brings to the table."
